It isn't but you have to do it in the right way or else YOU could face the consequences. You have to get through to someone who has just as much power, or may be some bodies who are equal. You can get authoratization from a PTA or staff member or a teacher, to start a petition, if they don't allow it, meet with the assitant principal or principal (i can't tell if that's spelled right or wrong). Talk to them or a guidance conseulor, bring the person who is being harrased, or if it's you it's always better to bring a witness, so there's more evidence, because they're more likely to believe the teacher if it was just you. If you do it in an inappropiate way, you might get suspended. I personally know someone who stuck for his friend against a teacher, and got suspended because he took away his purse, long story, but the point is, do something that's allowed in your "code of conduct" and appropiate.=)

No it isn't wrong at all. We all have a voice and it is good to stand up to those who you believe can make the changes necessary to help you cause. Sitting around complaining how things are just leads to absolutely nothing, but taking a positive active role will at least bring the issue to the fore front for the possibility of change. You will be surprised that you might not be the only person with these feelings. It only takes one to speak up and the rest will follow. They just may just not know how to go about getting their point across.

It is not wrong, but have a deep introspection, do you think what is right to you is really the RIGHT thing? If the answer is yes, then by all means , fight for it. BUT,. there are several ways to skin a cat. Why alienate your mentors when they should be your allies? You can be tactful about it. If they still won't listen , then that is the time you implement drastic measures. Be sure to back it up however, with facts and documents.

Best to move away discretely to another institution, which follows, correct moral and legal practices. It will be quite difficult for you to win as individuals, against an existing system. They will surely succeed in victimizing quite a few of the innocents among you, unless you have powerful social connections willing to help you out, against the alleged unethical practices of the existing system. You will be required to substantiate your charges based on legal evidence. The institution is quite likely to have stronger legal, social and political support.

It's not wrong in any way shape or form. What I will suggest is make sure you have a host of facts to back that claim up. The burden of proof is on the accuser. Remember that and make your case strong.
Fighting for what you feel is right is important. You not only provide a service, but you show yourself that what you believe is right. Otherwise it wouldn't be worth standing up for.

No it is not wrong to stand up for something you think is right. Usually in most cases when you are up against an authority figure, you'll lose. They will never listen to you. You will just be looked at as a trouble maker from then on.

This is like asking if walking is right or wrong. It is a perfectly normal thing for people to do. Religions have always sought to control people with fabricated "sins" to exercise control over them. I doubt if many followers of any religion follow the rules of masturbation. I guess they do it and ask for forgiveness??? No doubt some self-righteous religious people will preach that it is wrong and will be rubbing one out under the blankets tonight.

We should always do what we think is right but also think about its consequences before doing it and see that it doesn't do more bad than good.
If it does, then avoid doing it till its really important.
And if you stand up against your Principal and teachers, they might harass you but the other students will like you and they might also stand up and start a revolution.

Ugh, I totally agree. Sometimes it just seems like its there job to make us miserable! I think its right to stand up in what you believe in. Not to mention also saying what you believe in. After all, its called freedom of speech! I also understand what you meen about the "bad list" part. Because at my school we really do have one! At the beginning of the year my name was about to go in it all because I couldn't find my class in time! Wtf?!....so i had to have this 2 hour lecture by all the school staff on the Importance of going to class on time. It was insane!! Its only the first day of school! They made me feel like I was this HUGE trouble maker and that im going to go to jail. My only wish is that school teachers/staff would listen more before they discipline.

It may be right and just to stand up against the principal and faculty but that doesn't make it a smart thing to do. Battles aren't really battles if they can't be won.
