who is your favourite character in the harry potter series & why?

Hermione Granger.
She has excelled through genuine hard work. She fights for the rights for the under previleged (SPEW, ommited from movie). She remained neutral and loyal to both her best friends when they are on bad terms. She inherited her dentist parents' high IQ.
Without her common sense, Harry would never have reached the final room to meet Quirrell. This was omitted from the movie.
Without her advanced knowledge of spells, Dumbledoor's Army cannot meet to train secretly.
Without her quick thinking, Harry would have been eaten by Professor Lupin. (In movie, but not book)
She's extremely integral to the plot and most guys are drawn to watch The Goblet of Fire to witness her transformation to a beauty.

Ron Weasley is my favourite Character in the Harry Potter series, I like him because he is funny and kind, he is a good friend and do anything to help and protect the people he loves, he may not have much but he is happy with his friends and family. He would help Harry and Hermione do anything, even go against Voldemort and the Deatheaters. He is bravier then most people think he is, he went into the forest and faced his fear of spiders to help Harry and Hermione and that is very brave of him. He is one of the characters that I would want to be friends with if I attended Hogwarts.
Rupert Grint is perfect as Ron.

Ginny ....many of the people will be shocked to hear this answer....yet she is my favorite character from the chamber of secrets .....i never thought that her character cud make such a major part in the later parts
she looks scared and shy towards the first four parts but in 5 and sixth book she actually builds up her character and makes herself strong .... being a quiditch player and harry's love life ... even though cho loved harry she never tried to break the love between them....she loves harry right from the beginning and is being loved in sixth book.....
Ginny is very favorite charactrer she is intelligent ,humorous and behaves well with her brothers

SNAPE! Always keeps you guessing, has an interesting backstory, shadowy motivations. He is compelling and controversial; he's really competent at what he does and not in an obvious way like some others. Plus, he's the Potions Master, and so am I (Chemistry), so I kind of identify with his whole milieu! ( I know about his career choices later on...but still think of him as "The Potions Master" despite all that.)

Ron, Harry and Ludwig. Ron reminds me so much of me, he's a butterfingers who gets himself into all kinds of trouble. I like Harry because he is the main character and I like Ludwig ( I think that is the name of Harry's snow owl) because she is beautiful.

Harry! He's courageous, loyal and for the most part, manages to remain down-to-earth despite all the popularity, controversy and craziness surrounding him.

I'm really more of a Ron fan... I think he's very realistic and he isn't always perfect. His family situation is the most realistic and he doesn't always have the best luck, but he still does very well in school.
That said, I relate most to Hermione. I can't stand leaving homework undone!
