Here's how the park defines itself:
1. Universal Orlando (which is the entire facility, including the hotels)
2. Universal Studios Florida, which is the 1st of the 2 theme parks.
3. Universal Islands of Adventure, the 2nd of the 2 parks.
4. Universal CityWalk (movies, clubs, stores, etc.)
5. The 3 resorts.

By "the studio part", I'm assuming you're meaning item 2. It's about 10-15 acres or so, triangular in shape, with a narrow lake in the center. To walk completely around the perimeter of the park would take a normal person about 20 minutes (assuming no crowds).

Hope that helps.

About 10-15 Acres...It would be hard to see everything in the park in one day...I recommend getting an Express Pass if you do decide to go!

I used to work for one of the call centres that took reservations for the parks, including Sea World, Bush Gardens and Discovery Cove

Hope this helps!
