I don't know why you can't unless you are having a lot of pain and am not capable of riding a horse at all. When I was a teenager there was not a time that I couldn't ride a horse except when I was hurt and not capable of doing much else. You might start flowing a little more and have your period over a little quicker. But from what I remember the quicker the better for that.

No.

There is no reason to not ride. I do all the time. Just like any other riding, just I am wearing a tampon. Not a big deal.

Getting exercise is actually good for you.

However, it is recommended to do light riding or non at all if heavy cramps (the type you just want to curl up in a ball) that can cause bad posture along with in proper seating to cause unbalanced on horse's spine.

that's yet another one in all those issues invented to keep females faraway from horses and to apply as an excuse for a horse to be blamed for a riders lack of ability to regulate their horse. in case you imagine about this in a logical body, human beings are literally not in season or on warmth at the same time as they menstruate. surely that's the purely time human beings do not get pregnant.. PMS and your mood is extra likely to electrify the horse, than the smell of hormones. maximum females also take extra time and care utilising deodorant and aromatic soaps immediately, so all horses are going to imagine they smell unusual. some horses are absolutely very indignant through what we assume of smells marvelous. Horses ought to a lot want if all of us smelt like week previous sweat and dust.

ok every one is saying no. However, there is something you should consider. when you are riding you and your horse have good and bad days make a note when the bad days are. sometimes when we have a bad day of practice on barrels my period can contribute to this because you know as well as I do we are more irritable at this time so when I realize this I back off start over tomorrow so to speak. but as far as not being able to at that time yes you can. hope this helps

That's absolutely not true. I've been riding since I was a teensy, tiny little girl, and I actually went YEARS without ever taking a day off from riding. You can ride anytime.

No. That is not true. What you don't want to do is handle a Stallion. *intact male horse* If at all possible. Stallions Know if a woman is "In" by the smell just like a female horse. Heck nature is nature. But your fine otherwise.
