For what reason do some parents shave their baby's head?

i would not do it to my child but one of my friends did. she said that if you shave off the hair it will grow back thicker

In my husbands country they believe that newborn hair is unclean because of it being inside the mother. They immediately shave the head of a baby after birth.

My cousin shaved his baby girls head, not to make her bald, but to make her hair all the same length. She had about 20 strands of hair on her head that were REALLY long, but the rest of her hair had fallen out, or whatever happens to babies hair when it mysteriously disappears or gets shorter lol.......it doesn't look that bad, actually it looks better cause it's all one length now.

shaveing a babies head why would they do that!!! the babys hair is just starting to grow out! i dont know why but i'd also like to know!

i know in other countries babies heads are shaved to make their hair grow back thicker. im not sure if it really works though.

Muslims do it simply because the religion says to; it doesn't get into why, just to do it.

I have noticed that shaving (or cutting down) the hair, helps in treating the scalp, so it doesn't get a bad case of that well-known "cradle cap". It makes it much easier to take care of, which makes it easier on the mother, too.

in some cases due religious beliefs ppl do shave thie babies heads........................but most of the time this is done so that hair that grows back is thicker and stronger................like a beard grows thicker and harder as u shave

They do it so that the hair grows back thicker. Which it does my sister did that now her two sons have awesome hair.
