Sold my furniture when I moved into her place that she rents from her parents. Her parents never approved. Although they live in AZ and we're in Chicago. 3 months ago I traded my car for a ring. I was recently laid off and money is tight. Now what?

resell the ring and use it to get out. if she wont give it back then you would be morally entitled to a couple weeks to find someplace. legally youre on thin ice.

You need to set down and make some kind of a deal so you can stay for a while. That way you can get on your feet and move out. I don't think you should stay there for free. You will have to pay your own way. Take the ring back and see if you can get your money back. Then you can get a place of your own. You can get around in Chicago quite well with out a car for a while.

I say good luck! The ring is hers. You gave it to her as a gift. If she is a decent person she might give it back, but dont expect her to give it back.
I bet you think about it before you sell everything off again! I lived with my husband 4 yrs before we got married. I still had my house and all of my furniture. I sold nothing until I knew he was ready to commit to marriage. I did not want to be in the position you are now in!

Well first off she should give you your ring back and you should sell it or pawn it and get yourself a place to stay and by the way in fla you have 30 days to leave a residence. good luck and god bless and happy holidays.

get your ring back-but you should ask her. She most likely already knows your financial situation so she could be nice and let you stay for awhile. But you should move out and crash with some friends till you get back on your feet.

get out ring back or not! find a shelter they can help you with work as well as a place to stay, and never ever let yourself get into a pickle like that ever again......if you get the ring back pawn and use the money to help you ..........it wont be much from a pawn but it will be more than what you had......trust God to bring you through.......pray and be blessed!

Ask for the ring back (she should give it to you anyway). Then go crash at a friend's place until you get back on your feet, financially speaking.
