Go for it, but don't be surprised if some people stop calling you.
I always liked "It's your dime" - but then the damned phone company raised the price.
My all-time favorite way to answer the phone is "Morty's Mortuary - you stab 'em, we slab 'em".

My best friend and I always try to find a way other than saying "Hello" when we answer a phone call from each other. But I wouldn't just do that randomly. If you know who it is and they're okay with it, then it's fine. Otherwise it's a little rude.

It's a little rude but more obnoxious than anything. It is also obnoxious to say "I'm asking for people's opinions, but I don't really care because I'm doing it anyway."
I guess I won't get best answer, eh?

I think everyone has their own telephone quirks we all dislike!!! If you were running a business, I would tell you to change your greeting. But if you're answering your own phone...who cares. The people who know you, understand where you're coming from.

sounds like a good way to answer phones if you're aiding in raising three girls, have a mullet, and are obsessed with Elvis Presly...you wouldn't get it unless you grew up in the 90's.

Yes. Hello is short and simple.lts not that difficult to say it so why shouldn't you. Manners make a person. You'll be more appreciated when you're polite. Don't say you don't care cause you do. Why ask in the first place?

Maybe if you're some big-wig in some huge company, no.
If you just always answer your phone that way, then yes.
