I just got out of an off-on relationship. After we broke up I still liked him so I asked him if we could still be freinds. after that it just kinda built up from friends again.

When two people are apart from each other, one of you needs to take the first step to making up. You can do this. Buy him a card and leave it around. See how he responds. Offer to go for a walk. Suggest you have dinner together and talk things out. You need to use the opportunity to explore what went wrong, and not just sweep it under the rug because having sex again is much easier than figureing out what went wrong.

in my case she called my moms house first asking about me, when my mom told me it got me interested again, since it had been several years and she was my first, she ended up moving away shortly after we split she asked about me to a few mutual friends about a year before she called my mom. Put the word out your curious about her, people will always tell you if so and so from way back before is asking about you. Seems very high schoolish but worked in our case, naturally if the parents didn't like you your sol. Saw her again shortly afterwards, lets just say I think the memories of the younger days weren't worth tainting.

I met him for lunch. But it didn't last the second time around...

Just be aware : usually the reasons that you broke up are still there.
