Teens are a difficult age, you don't want to read kids sci fi like Phillip Pullman (although adults enjoy these too), but you don't want to launch straight into adult fiction.

Some adult authors are very accessible to the teen market such as Stephen King, Louise Bagshawe (great chic lit), Sophie Kinsella (shopaholic series).

yes there are so many good fantasy or fiction books out there.
what are you into? the question is in the music category...so you can start with books about music.
but if you are tired of learning then just grab one of the tons of vamp books out there. those are the big sellers for teens(especially females).
