I am an Africian women I do not wear a lot of make up because I fell it is not good for our skin. I feel the pores will always be clogged if you wear a lot of make up. Also beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I feel that I have a natural beauty. Any woman can be painted up and can be made to look like a million dollars.

a person does need a conditioner for their face, especially one now that protects against UV rays. It used to be said that the wrinkles on men's faces add character, but no longer, so both men and women now need some kind of protective barrier. They both also need a good cleanser since everywhere seems to be so dusty these days. The topical makeup that women wear smooths out their skin (it could be inexpensive make-up though) and does make them attractive to the opposite sex. There is a light make-up foundation that just adds finish to the skin. There is also a waterproof foundation that keeps a matte finish rather than looking all perspired.

Make up isn't good for the skin - think about it - cosmetic products are basically chemicals and leaving it on for 24 hours and more ages the skin permanently. The less make-up you wear the better and if you never wear any, like me, you'll have perfect skin as you get older compared to frequent cosmetic users who'll have to use more make-up to cover up that fact that their skin looks worse.

Make-up isn't good for the health of skin but it's not meant to be . Most people know that. But good quality make-up clearly makes skin look better. Stuff like stretch mark and cellulite cream is a big, fat con but make-up, not.

I dont think make up when left on overnight for example is good as it clogs up pores etc. As long as women take it off and clean their skin properly then makeup can do lots for a womans confidence, although i dont wear it myself as it makes me look a slapper!

if you use the right type for your skin, then a good foundation with SPF can be a very good layer of protection against pollution, sun damage and effects of the weather. its good to get non-comodegenic one that wont clog pores and a hypo allergenc one that wont cause an allergic reaction.

Makeup is very bad for the skin, and the body generally. There are known carcinogens in many types of makeup.
