Mostly harmless.............

I wouldn't say I was disappointed, because it was interesting to see Adams' works in progress.

The draw-back of course is that, as these are snippets and unfinished unpolished works, they are not up to the usual Adams standard.

A good book for Adams fans - not a good book for those who haven't already read other works by him.

Douglas was an expert at writing a few pages that make you think and laugh.

Unfortunately this book doesn't contain much of that.

It is good if you've read the rest - but otherwise its like an albumn mixed after the singer is dead - not quite right.

The first 3 Hitchikers remain the best.

Also - you may not know this - some of the early Dr. Who episodes were written by Douglas.

Or try Last chance to see....
