what are the branches of architecture?

If you are looking for job prospects there should be a lot out there other than becoming an architect. You can work for developers, contractors, local authorities, teach, software companies, contract perspectivist. Endless.
If you are asking about branch courses, I would say Interior design, building sciences, building construction, building facilities management, Urban design, Town planning (to a certain extent), Architectural History, IT Arch 3D sotwares etc.

Other than that I am not quite sure what you mean by branches.

Architects can specilize. Some do forensic architecture where they look at why buildings fail, some do building science where they analize why building succeed. But typically architects are pretty generalist, some do specilize in houses or in hospitals but for the most part they do a variety of work, part of what makes it interesting.

If you are looking for a niche I'd say building science or "green" architecture, they are thr future...
