in many episodes of father ted larry duff is seen possibly dying, driving off the cliff is one. can any one think of another character in a comedy whos often killed off?

Plenty of obvious examples in cartoons........indestructable Tom (Tom and Jerry), equally indestructable Wile E Coyote (Roadrunner) and Itchy and Scratchy.
