Is life too long?
As a child, a year is an extremely long period of time; perhaps the longest that can be imagined. Into the twenties and thirties, days seem to be about the "right" length.
As one gets older though, the time seems to whizz by. There is never enough time to do what is needed, never mind what one would like to do. Goodness knows what it will be like in thirty years time (God willing). The days will almost be like a flicker.
So, is life too long? Only seems like that when you are young.

When you are young you think life is too long. As you get closer to your 30's, the years seem to fly by. When you are old and ready to die, and are lying on your bed wondering where are the years went, you will think life was not long enough.
In the end, it is more important what you did while you were here than wondering what could you have done. Most peoples regrets in life are things they have not done, not things they have done.
Live for the moment. Carpe Diem: Seize the day.

Life is too short. Even if we lived 999 trillion years, it would still be too short because we would still die. If we could live forever, it would not be too short. There is no such thing as a life that is too long. It's good to live.

Yes. You probably don't want to hear my old-fashioned and biologically based reasons, because the logic is harsh. I don't even like it. But we are suffering too long, paying too many pharmaceuticals and nursing home conglomerates, and making not just our kids but all of the younger generations suffer emotionally and financially, as a whole society, because we can't let go.

Good question, I remember seeing that question in a film "16 Blocks" or something that one with Bruce Willis and Mos Def and Bruce Willis says it then and it made me think then as well. I sometimes think we spend a lot of time doing things that we don't enjoy for only a snippet of good times.

Strangely, life is just the right length to fit in between birth and death. No longer, no shorter, so I'd say it was always the perfect length.
