Either go to the doctor or have a friend carefully use tweezers to get it out ONLY if they can see the cotton close to the ear canal opening. NEVER go further than that.

Okay here is the US Army field medics solution to this idiotic situation, its cheaper than the emergency room and close to some of you other suggestions. avoid the tweezers unless truly visible without any flashlight etc. use a couple drops of oil, mineral or olive preferably warm let it settle all over by laying on your opposite side for a minute or two than switch side so the ear with the cotton is facing down after five or six minute have passed your going to flush you ear canal with warm water the warmer the better but not hot se a thermometer if you have to, but don't go higher than 99 degrees. keeping bad ear facing down go over sink full of warmed water and take new baby bulb syringe, (found at any Pharmacy) they are light blue for sucking noses and ears and mouths of babies, any way squeeze and fill with warm water. slowly flush the ear with water being careful not to blast your eardrum intensely repeat until cotton comes out. You can put as much pressure as you can stand without breaking your ear drum you will feel when it gets uncomfortable. i hope this helps this kind of thing happens int the field and we have no ER so we have to know these types of things.

If it's deep enough that you can't see it, give up. Let the ENT guy use his alligator forceps with direct visualization. The skin inside the ear canal is quite delicate, and a friend with tweezers is likely to make a hash of things mucking around blindly.

this is not any super deal as long because of the fact the q-tip cotton isn't caught on your ear drum somewhat. bypass to google image and seek ear picker flashlight, its like one million greenback and that they deliver it to you right now. there's a pincher, and you will in basic terms would desire to have somebody pinch it out with out scraping the partitions on your ear or touch your ear drum. I used a style of because of the fact of a sinus situation and it have been given kinda stressful, in a while i began purchase quite some those because of the fact they are much less high priced, however the batteries runs out so speedy. in case you wind up going to the ENT known practitioner, they'd have 2 the right thank you to handle you: one million. suck out the cotton with a vacuum sufficiently small formed like a pen, or 2. they'll use a pincher, and that one hurts like hell in the event that they touch the deeper partitions of your ear.

You may have to go to a doctor, but first try a few drops of mineral oil in your ear a few times and lay with your head ear-side-down. It mealts the ear wax and may loosen the cotton and allow it to seep out.
And NO! DONT STICK FINE TWEEZERS IN THERE! You can puncture your ear drum!

Go to the hospital and get them to remove it. The ear is very delicate and can be damaged easily. ENT doctors all say that you should put nothing smaller than your elbow in your ear!

Try mineral oil first to try and melt the earwax around it and get it out. If you can see it you can have someone try and grasp the cotton with tweezers and gently pull it out. Don't let someone dig in your ear for it! If you can't get it out by these means, go see your doctor to prevent getting a nasty ear infection and excess wax buildup. They can get it out for you safely and it should be virtually painless.

you should go to a ear doctor and let them remove it, because if you try it you may push it in farther
