Your contribution is 7.65% of your gross pay. Part of the 7.65% goes to social security and part goes to medicare and as others have stated, your employer must match the contribution unless you are self employed at which time your contribution would be 7.65% X 2 or 15.3%.

they send me and my husband a report every year and i am 32 and he is 38
