I have to take my glasses off, lean close into the mirror, and put them back on.
Or I just wear my lenses.

a lot of guess work and then up-close to a handmirror for inspection - when i put my glasses back on i find i need to even out my foundation 9 times out of 10:)

They sell those great magnifying mirrors with bright lights that will make everything 5x bigger, that would help out a lot.

I use one of those magnified mirrors - the large ones on a stand. Works perfectly.
