Or it might not run at all. Graphics card sockets on the motherboard might be None, PCI, AGP 4, AGP 8 or PCI-Express, so you should ensure compatibility. Higher rated graphics cards need more power and produce more heat and might not work or cause other faults with a low rated power supply (like 250 watts?) on a inadequately ventilated case.
It is not really possible to identify likely improvement without details of existing and proposed graphics cards plus CPU speed. See:
http://www.digital-daily.com/video/vgapcie_roundup_q306/
A Roundup of 45 PCI-E video cards, Q'3 2006 and earlier benchmark results from the same site.
Some games will also run faster with more video RAM and main RAM. Again, it depends what you have now. As you probably know, you have to buy RAM that is compatible with the mainboard and existing RAM sticks. I hope your PC is not like this one that could handle 2 memory sticks but not 3 or 4.
Avoid an unhappy Xmas:

First ask the situation it somewhat is doing the improve in the event that they take commerce in's on areas. in the event that they do super. yet while not and that they are below 5-6 years in accordance with how severe end they have been once you got them you may carry directly to them and make yet another device for your self in case you experience so vulnerable or sell them on e-bay. in the event that they are very previous in basic terms tell the restoration save to maintain them you will not get any money purchase you will not have them sitting in a closet taking on area. however the only difficulty you do not choose to lose possession of is the not easychronic because of the fact records could be pulled off it even after reformatting. yet from what you have pronounced interior the posting it sounds such as you will shop thatchronic interior the hot device so if it somewhat is the case you have not something to hassle approximately. So have exciting with you speedier device.

absolutely! ur pc will run more smoothly after this modification. But before of any havoc be care full about compatibility issues..
install at least 2GB memory(complete memory) and grafix card of ur choice. GPU will offload most of ur video processing load from processor. So here is not any question of no better performance. Go for it.
