Do you have a virus software that will delete the virus? If not you better get one and don't get Norton.

You haven't mentioned which antivirus software you are using. And if you have updated its virus definitions. You can't remove a virus unless you know its name.
For the time being you can do a few things.

1) Disable system restore.
Click on start > all programs > Accessories > System Tools > System Restore
Click on System Restore settings.
Check the box to Turn off system restore on all drives.
press apply. press ok.

2) Boot from your windows installation disk (win XP)
Press Enter to begin Installation. Do not choose repair Installation at this point. Then Press F8 to agree license. Then Press R to start repair installation. Let windows complete all remaining steps. This will replace all corrupted, infected windows files. All your remaining programs and data on your computer will remain safe.

I suggest that you try to carryout system restore to a day previous to the day when there was no virus or any problems. It may be a few weeks or months back. You have to decide the date. The problem is likely to be solved. Then,You insatll a standard antivirus soft ware such as Norton, AVG , Avast ( free antivirus software and Ad-aware, Ewido ( free spyware removers). You can download free softwares at

If you have a Windows, this is what you should do.

Just before the Welcome setup appears, or after the black and white configurations appear when you open your computer, press F8. Then select safe mode. Click user - close - yes. Click My computer then right click Drive C. Click Properties - Tools - Check - Check Now. Click Desk option then click 2 - box. Then turn off your computer. After a few seconds you can now use it again.

The answer is that a previous virus has corrupted a system file.
It probably the LSAS file, or something similar,

you need to backup your files if you can, then format your hard drive.

You can run chkdsk and every fixing program you want, but you'll be just wasting your time until to format and start again.

Sorry dude.

If you have original windows try running setup. It will give an option to repair the windows.
It might work.
Or first try running in 'debugging mode' and 'last known good configuration' mode. to get these options do this:
press power button of your PC and suddenly start pressing F8 key repeatedly until above said options appear.
Hope this will help you.
Bye.

It could be malware. Try ewido anti malware suite, or ad-aware from lavasoft. They clean up quite few little nasties.
