Prescott Bush and Prescott's father-in-law George Herbert Walker were both involved with a man named Fritz Thyssen. Thyssen was a member of the Nazi party, although he fled once the war started and was kicked out of the Nazi party. They set up the Union Banking Corporation. Prescott was also involved with 3 other companies that had assets seized, or an embargo placed on them during WW2. Did they know about the concentration camps? Who knows? You should do some research into the companies that funded and participated in the Nazi war machine. Most of them are still around today, some under different names, but they are still going strong.

The connection you are referring to is the fact that Prescott Bush was on the board of directors and held a 1% share in UBC (Union Banking Company). It is true that this company along with others held by Harriman Banking did business with German Industrialists (most notably Fritz Thyssen, who was known as Hitler's Angel) prior to early 1942. This practice was not illegal until 1942 when the Trading With The Enemy Act was passed. At the time of passage assets of Harriman businesses were ceased and held in trust by the United States government until the end of the war. When the assets were unfrozen Bush received 1,500,000 for his share of UBC. These are the facts of the matter, beyond that everything else is unproved hearsay and a subsequent suit against the Bush family was dismissed. What is most interesting about this is the fact that everyone seizes on the Prescott Bush connection, but they ignore the fact that George Herbert Walker was the Chairman of UBC at the time.

Yes. It was all hushed up but this is the basis of the Bush family forturne. The coal and steel plants managed by Thiessen were in part worked by concentration camp slave labor AND Prescott kept an active participation in management until 1942. They have been a crime family for years.

Yeah, and his daddy was second-banana to one of the most corrupt administrations in history (kin yew say Iran-Contra?) and an oil baron and deceitful leader in his own right (after all, he gave Saddam permission to invade Kuwait and start this whole mess!).
And he himself, bless his jug-eared melon, is a bedfellow with profiteers and economic opportunists raping the nation's posterity for private gain, intent on creating an oligarchy in the republic. Not to mention a mendacious moron, and a monster.
Fortunately, he has also been marginalized, and the damage he can do in the next two years has been limited. The nation has been Bush-baby-proofed to some degree.
True, the Has-Been-in-Chief can still impeded the reconstruction and repair of the damage he and his Neocon brethren have done to the nation, so it may take a while to undo his handiworked.
But rest assured, the effort will be made (or we'll elect a leadership that will do).
Cheers.

It's possible. Although this smells of sensationalism and spreading things that aren't very accurate. Thousands and thousands of people assisted the Nazis in business transactions knowingly, and mostly unknowingly. The Kennedys were also involved in providing to German companies (ie Nazi companies) goods and services, and made a small fortune doing so. I'm not a Bush fan, but my suggestion is that if you're going to try to point out their failures in logic, reason, and justice then you need to do a comprehensive job and point out all of the other people that were making a buck too. To do that to a very limited extent for the purposes of using it for political gain is using the victims of the Holocaust for your own political advantage, which is just as wrong.

Are we still on this? Yes, Bush 43's grandfather helped the Nazis. So did Charles Lindburgh, Henry Ford, and Joseph Kennedy. Harvard University, supposedly the most prestigious in the US, invited Goebbels to speak. Is that a reflection on *their* grandchildren and great grandchildren? If so, consider Ahnold's father was a Nazi guard, and Ahnold is a Zionist. If not, why bring it up?
