Symptoms of a urinary infection: frequent need to urinate, stinging pain on urination, urine cloudy (may contain particulate matter or blood); and possibly raised temperature and pain in the kidney region.

If you've not got a lot of pain or a high temperature, you can probably wait until Monday; make sure you drink lots of liquid (lay off the alcohol, see if you can find lemon barley water); don't have intercourse - your partner won't thank you - and then go see the doctor on Monday, where you'll probably be given a broad-spectrum antibiotic ... and if that's what you're given make sure you finish the course even if the symptoms disappear quickly. Good luck.

Well i would wait till monday its onlt a day away.I get these all the time and yes its horrid. When you go to the gp he will dip tset your water and normally send a sample away to be tested in the lab,and the results come bck with in a wk.Your gp will prescribe you anti-biotics to treat this infection then the infection will go.But if its an ongoing problem like mine is,you will be referred up your local hospital for tests. In the mean time drink plenty off water not cranberry juice i have been told many time that this juice doenst work.Just drink plenty off water, and see your gp on monday.Good Luck

It is important to get antibiotics, if left untreated for too long it could develop to kidney infection which may mean longer course of antibiotics, if you have an out of hours number to call ring them they will be able to give you a time of an appointment and a simple urine test will clarify it. You should then get started on the antibiotics and your gp will chase the results and change your meds if required.
It does depend how much pain and discomfort you are in some UTI's can cause you to feel really groggy and develop a temperature, an out of hours gp, not A & E (they will be busy with others and a long wait may be in), will be best for you and if it turns out to be nothing then you haven't wasted A&E's time or yours, however if it turns out to be serious they will refer to hospital and should be quicker that way.

A urinary tract infection isn't life-threatening, so you might as well wait 'til Monday.

Drink loads of water and cranberry juice and take paracetamol for pain and fever. If you are in severe pain or distress call the emergency doctor or go to the hospital but if you feel you can cope wait until monday morn and call your GP xx

Go get yourself some Cranberry juice and drink plenty of this plus drink plenty of water. See if this improves anything it should do if its related to the bladder. Also if you have full fat milk indoors (you can still use semi-skinned) but full fats better run yourself a warm bath (not hot) and put half a pint of milk into the water. Dont wash, just relax and wash gently with the water and pat the area dry afterwards.

If no improvement by morning go see your GP.

As long as you continue to pass urine I would wait till monday. Drink lots of cranberry juice and fluids, preferably water. If you stop weeing or get a bad pain in your lower back it may have travelled to your kidneys so may be worth a trip to the local minor injuries.
