Formula One tyres are definitely not for sale. Even when Goodyear was the sole supplier, all the used tyres were collected and eventually destroyed. This was, and still is the practice at both races and test sessions. The rims belong to the teams.
They are less desirable to an F1 fan, but I've seen the odd person taking home a tyre from the now-defunct American ARS/Indy Lights series; of course they were single-compound, control tyres.
At one time it was possible to buy bits and pieces of F1 cars from some teams immediately after the last race of the season. Following the 1993 Australian GP at Adelaide, I watched in amusement as members of several of the lesser teams held `sales' at the pit wall. Mostly they were sealing their team uniforms, but some also offered up small bits and pieces from the cars. It was my understanding they funded their post-season parties with the money made from the sales. Interestingly enough, the Jordan team sold nothing that year.
A few years before Lotus went out of business, you could order small parts of the previous seasons cars directly from the team; they were done up as faux art pieces such as pistons mounted on a small base and they were quite expensive.

You're right. I don't think that you can buy a F1 tire after it's been used, because of the fear of "industrial espionage" between tire makers. It's a feat of paranoia that keeps all the major and minor developments on an F1 car secret (if you can't spot them).
Tire compound ingredient information is only shared by the tire manufacturers to the teams and, amongst the teams, the ones that have the same tire brand on their car. Next year, everyone is using the same tire and virtually the same compounds (it's in the rules: the tire supplier can only supply 2 dry tire compounds per weekend to all the teams; the difference is given by how the teams are able to use those tires), so the tire war has been leveled out.
Used F1 tires cannot be bought. Or at least that's what I know.

The dry-climate tyres have 4 compounds: no longer common, Medium, delicate and large-delicate. Pirelli be certain which 2 to apply on a race weekend and furnish a undeniable quantity of each and every compound chosen (i think of it particularly is 5 decision and four delicate, yet it particularly is in all hazard incorrect). they are additionally offered with a undeniable variety of finished moist and Intermediate tyres. those tyres could final the entire race weekend, with a number of them surpassed decrease back, leaving 3 top tyre and 3 decision tyre gadgets obtainable for the race alongside with the Intermediates and the entire wets. The large-delicate and Medium tyres are used for precisely a similar circumstances because of the fact the delicate and not common compounds, whether in specific circumstances it relies upon on the music floor. as an occasion, in Australia, the no longer common tyre exchange into the top and the delicate the alternative. In Monaco, the delicate exchange into the top and the large-delicate exchange into the alternative. And in Valencia, the Medium exchange into the top and the large-delicate the alternative. finished Wets and Intermediates are utilized in somewhat distinctive circumstances. If the rain is amazingly heavy and there's a large variety of water on the music, then the entire moist is used. I look to bear in mind being instructed they are able to displace sufficient water in a 2d to fill 4 tub tubs. Intermediates are used whilst there is mild rain and/or the music is moist yet no longer overly so. They displace much less water, so does no longer artwork properly in finished moist circumstances. Neither of those tyre artwork properly in dry circumstances, as there will be block stream and rapid donning. until eventually the race starts off on between the moist tyres, each and each automobile could use the top and the alternative tyre in a race. If the race is a moist start up, then communities can use whichever tyre they desire, whether each and every team is constrained to the two dry compounds Pirelli has offered for the race.
