If the old one only makes it through 100000 cycles and your oven cycles once every few seconds when you cook, then how many minutes of cooking would you get from that sensor and shouldn't Sears give me a new one since the replacement costs me $75? They don't tell you that when you buy an oven and this part wears out it's welcome pretty quick during ownership. How long should a manufacturers part last? What do commercial ovens use? Are they any better? This was a top of the line kitchen appliance, digital and everything!

This is only one reason I have taken over $100,000 a year worth of business to other outlets. I am quite familiar with this problem having replaced many sensors and heating elements over the years in dryers and stoves that I do not have with other brands as often.No -because there is no federally mandated recall on these parts-Sears will not be required to give you a new one. Live and learn folks.

It's the same with auto parts, they recycle them to make you buy them quicker, this way they make money. If you don't have to Buy it?
