Making friends is quite hard you know. And I know how it feels.
First, you have to know your interests so you can relate with others.
Be friendly, of course! :)..
It has to start with you. Don't be shy. Learn to boost your self confidence.
Have the initiative and the rest will just follow.. I've gotten into the same stage as you are and I did it!
Oh, and by the way just be yourself.. ;) ;)

Make an effort to interact and be yourself. Whoever seems genuninely interested is a potential friend. From there it's pretty much up in the air. Do be discriminating. Not in a culture, creed or color kind of way, but rather in a way so as to filter out those who would only result in getting you into a lot of awkward situations from those who really benefit you and truly cherish your company.

Be yourself! That's the most important, but there are also some other rules... Don't try to be funnier than you really are. Don't pretend you're the wisest person in the world. Don't avoid conversation, but also don't talk all the time... Such things are really annoying.
Just be relaxed and don't feel ashamed when you have nothing to say. Silence doesn't have to be embarrassing. Be nice and friendly, that'd be enough...

Be nice, join a new club, sit at a new table at lunch and say Hi to people in the hall. Good luck making new friends!

be kind to people do not try to be someone when you are not like funny ....and be yourself so the person that you want her to be your friend know you and make people know that you are good and sit alone and if you were good somebody will surely come to you and you will be friends
