If you are intent on becoming fair, use a skin cream that contains the chemical Hydroquinone (they are available without prescription and are quite effective, safe skin lighteners)... and stay out of the sun, and use a high-SPF (30 or more) sunscreen when you do go outside in the daytime. Exposure to the sun is liable to darken you more than anything.

However, if you are really black as you say you are, I suggest you get accustomed to it, or move to a region where the color of your skin is acceptable. No skin treatment will change your color from African or Indian black to European white, unless you undergo (as another answerer stated) a Michael Jackson treatment.

The colour of skin cannot be changed. Hence you may get some fairness and for that you have to turn to nature. Use only natural and herbal products. wow, how do you not know what colour your skin is.
i am sorry for you that you are so unhappy with your skin.
you should use product with a high sunscreen in them to keep your skin from darkening, and yes, there are skin bleach creams that will lighten up your skin.
i am not sure what your situation is, but learn that beauty comes from the inside, and that there is beauty in every skin colour.
good luck.

Don't change a thing. Black is beautiful. I have Irish friends that would love to have some color to their skin and hate their freckles, but I always tell them their freckles are "angel kisses". Please make the most of your beautiful shade of color, and don't let anyone bring you down. Modeling agencies look for orginality and confidence. The more you love yourself, the more others will see your inner glow and your ora will attract them. ;)

frnd skin color is natural as u got from your parents u can't change it completely but can only makes it little lighter and shinner.
if u want some household tips then try these...
1.Watermelon juice clears the skin of all its blemishes leaving it fresh and lovely. Grate a watermelon, squeeze out the juice and apply it on your face for 15 minutes. Now wash it with hot water and then splash on cold water.
2. Fenugreek leaves (methi) cure pimples, blackheads, dryness and early appearance of wrinkles. Make a paste of these leaves and apply it every night. Next morning, wash off with warm water. This improves your complexion.
3. Tea leaves and lemon juice helps prevent hair fall. They also lead to soft and shiny hair. You need to boil the leaves in water and strain out the tea. Add a little lemon juice to this concoction and wash your hair with it. Rinse your hair thoroughly.
4. Bengal gram flour (besan) mixed with curd can be applied daily on your face and hair! It will not only give you a glowing complexion, but also long and lustrous locks.
5. Orange juice is great for an instant glow. All you need to do is dip your fingers in the juice and pat your cheeks, chin, neck and forehead. Wash off after ten minutes.

For a great homemade face softener, try this: mash a banana and apply it to your face. Leave on for ten minutes and wash off with lukewarm water. Your face feels like satin. Plus, it puts those over ripe gooey bananas to good use!

if you have dark skin, especially black skin, they you will just have to live with that. there is no "must" about it, unless you have the means, like michael jackson, who's as white as snow right now. would you like that?
