to private "northern ireland" was part of ireland before britain invaded and took control of ireland. after centurys of war 26 counties were freed from british rule while 6 remain. why are people terroist when the fight for what is their own againest england but freedom fighters when the are going againest any other countries. because britain control the north it does not mean it is british. and if you belive the goverment are aonly there to represent the prodasant majority it shows how biggated you are.

Northern Ireland is british and the people of northern ireland wnat to be british.
AS the majority of them are protestant, they will be driven out if they werent protected by the british.
What is there to talk about or negotiate.
The british have a duty to defend our land and those who dwell within it.
We dont give in to terror, or the tactic of lets negotiate or return to terror.
Tony blair is not suitable to handle the situation, he has virtually given in to all IRA demands.
Tony blair out and IRA out.

If you want them to agree on something then fly the lot of them out to some hell-hole in Iraq, and tell they can only leave once a satisfactory agreement has been reached.

I guarantee that within 20 mins you'll have a peace agreement signed, sealed and ratified.

As far as I'm concerned, there is only one reasonable answer, and it's been said twice already.

The only other solution is stalemate - I hope we've moved on from the violence of the past.

To jonmorrit,i tell you now if you sent them to some hell hole
in Iraq. You would have a lot of dead white boys in less than
20 minutes.as for this question, both sides have an agenda
of their own(so as always in these situations, they need to
compromise.however there is the problem).No trust,years
of arguments, fighting and of course my personal favourite
religion.
