I was married many times, and have two beautiful children, one boy, now 31, one girl now 26. Both are happily married, and have kids of their own, and all love me. Why does society expect me to be with another woman? I am happy all by myself. I've not met a female that is worthy of me, or my family.

You are content, that is a good thing. Don't fix it if it ain't broke. You owe no one an explination. Few people can say what you can. Be proud.

I don't think society much cares about your status. Its just that people recognize that a man living alone is either lazy, not socialized to deal with people or, in your case , so full of himself that he thinks no one is as good as he thinks he is. Society is based upon the interaction of diverse people. What you may be feeling is our reaction to the attitude that you are somehow above us. Reality is you are not.

You don't owe society an explanation about your life. When told you should be with someone, tell them... and who asked what they think?

Then you go and enjoy your grand babies. You want to be by yourself, then be by yourself. Way to go.
