Yes it can and it is, it makes its` journey to our shores in a box. This is because it has to travel a great distance and needs protection en route, no-body wants to buy damaged bananas. Once it reaches our shops and is ready to be sold, there is absolutely no reason why it should ever go in a box again. Its` own skin is a wrapper, we do not need to waste materials by putting it in a paper or a plastic bag to carry it home. Once we have eaten it even the skin can go in the compost bin, so a box is once again surplus to requirements.

No you fool. Bananas are long and thin and curved. Boxes are square. It just wouldn't work. Blimey, the questions people ask. Actually, i'm trying to genetically modify a square banana so it does fit in a box.

i sense that this question is up to no good and is some kind of mischief. if you are in a wholesaler business, then yes. why do you need to do that if you are not? you buy them to eat right?

common sense.
