Yeah, i am just curious about that. For example, in The Departed, does Martin the director earn more money than Matt and Leo?

I think d director earns more money. Stephen Spielberg earned more money dan d cast of E.T and Peter Jackson earned more money dan d cast of lords of d rings.

I think it depends on how famous those people are.

I would think someone like Steven Spielberg will earn a lot, but a beginning director, who happens to make a movie way more popular than expected, will sure get paid less than Spielberg, even if Spielberg made a film that flopped.

Same goes for actors and actresses, when your just beginning, you can't expect to get a huge salary, even if the movie you're in turns out to be a huge succes. But the far more famous actor/actress who played in that movie with you, will have set a price, and a high one at that, before they decided to participate in that movie.

cameron diaz...brad pitt..julia roberts..george clooney..angelina jolie..tom cruise..and many others..
they have paychecks for over 20mil $plus a big part of the movies earnings...
have u heard of them?
maybe some directors earn a lot too,but they are fewer and i honestly dont think they make more than the leading actors,..
