what should be the first item of female clothing (other than underwear) i should buy myself if or when my family accept the fact i want to become a woman?

what ever you feel comfortable wearing the most
i being a m2f transsexual whore female shorts and tops around my friends for a while then after a little while i started to let it eing more of a female dress such as a skirt and then later a dress
depending on your age it we depend on what you wear look at females around you and your age and copy them to a degree
then find your own style after you are comfortable with what you look like and what others feel about you
good luck coming out to your family can be hard but it is worth doing it to know where they stand

Why wait for the change?Tomorrow dress as a women and go on job interview at convienence store somewhere.Lets find out tomorrow if you really want to be woman or just an ugly man in womans clothes.Most trannys think they look good as woman but the truth is they look like freak shows but most people will not tell them the truth even when they ask.Fear of lawsuits and sex harrasment luckily for you i am not politically correct and will say whatever i please,and for those that don't like it i say reread the constatution.

Are you kidding? Way before you have the surgery, you should be living as a woman. You need to speak to your doctor about this, you don't seem to have the information you need to progress to gender reassignment.

What a stupid question, you want to become a women, fine with me, but I guess that this decision was not taken this morning 08 am, so you should know what a women wear because you should feel you are one (a woman in a mens body)

you don`t give your age.but the best thing is to buy whatever suits you and if for instance your 40 yrs old and look it don`t try to dress like an 18 yr old or you`ll really look out of place.
I would try skirts and blouses to start with
