Messangers provide free SMS, Chating, PC-to-PC calls; so how they do business.
If everybody just open and close the web-site then also is there any money earning process?

Every site or internet base business is different.
For example:
Yahoo, makes money from stocks, advertisment, auctions etc.
Ebay, makes money from advertisments, and taking a small % out of each sale people do.
Myspace, Works alot about advertisments.
Advertisments help alot, If you look at it this way, say yahoo get 1 cent for everytime someone clicks a advertisment. i know it does not seem like much, but just think how many people are on yahoo and how much that ad gets clicks every sec.

2. Selling placement in Yahoo search engine.
3. Selling premimun services such as Fantasy Sports and Yahoo Mail Plus
