It is different in various states, they can rotate, and zoom, but some states don't allow sound, others have no restections.
Also laws vary by state from cameras inside to outside, since outside in public areas there is less privacy expected

There is no law i dont think about these cameras but if you think that they are invading your privacy then you can report it to your housing association or to your local police station. They are not allowed to point the camera on your property.

This sound like a breach of the Data Protection act ( UK law )..
Your image and sound its your property and ALL CCTV cameras must comply to this act....
The one pointing at your bedroom is very bad ... you should call the Police and ask them what they think..
Hope this Helps.

if it is trained on your property, or you feel it is invading you privacy you should report it to the housing association or the local police. this has happened to my father recently, he reported it to the police as it was pointing in to his step daughter's room and they were asked to change the position of the camera.

As far as I am aware, a camera can is only allowed to `see` within the limits of your property.
Check with Police/Council.

It isn't illegal to have these as security cameras, however it is illegal to do things with them that go beyond surveillance of the area they are meant for.
There is a lot of area between where the cameras are at and your bedroom, so unless you can prove that they are looking into your bedroom and not some point in between, then you don't know if they are invading your privacy or just doing routine surveillance.

It is your bedroom you are "pointing" the cameras at. So there should not be a problem. Unles; you intend to do something illegal with the pictures?

i believe it is unlawful to film someone in a domestic environment . i am pretty sure this contradicts the data protection act . talk to your local police , i think they will act on it .if not contact your local council for advice.
