Perhaps not painful, just very very sensitive.
It can feel quite uncomfortable when directly stimulated with a dry finger, but it should be fine with lubrication.
But all women differ and some like the sensation when its slightly ouchy.

It can be, its very sensitive once errect. Some people like it done rough though, me I prefer slow and gentle most of the time.
In the missionary position, the mans pubic bone stimulates the clitoris while thrusting.
A lot of people only reach orgasm with clitoral stimulation.

You need to start slowly and softly. The harder the clitoris gets the harder you can rub. I can usually orgasm within 3 to 4 minutes when I am alone. It usually takes my husband 5 to 10 minutes to make me climax. The only time it hurts is when I have overstimulated it on a given day. If I have made myself come more than 3 or 4 times it can become overly sensitive but it is fine the next day.

well, i'm not a woman, but i do know that 70 percent of women can only get an orgasm from clitoral stimulation as opposed to a "g-spot" orgasm.

All pleasures beyond a limit cud be painful. It shud be rubbed or tickled gently and not roughly. It will be extremely pleasant to do so and if continued sufficiently, it will result in orgasm.

obviously by writing this you are too rough on your woman's,, go back to her and ask her if it hurts,, shes probably already told you or you wouldnt be asking this,,if she says yes, ask her to show you or teach you how she likes to be sensitized,, it may be an arousal for both of you,,
