Superman is practically indiestructable, the Hulk has enornous strength. the well known ones like Batman and Spiderman have their skills but would they survive against someone like Thor, Abomination, Rhino or Absorbing Man?
What about The Vision, The Thing, Goliath, Mephisto, Silver surfer?
Would Superman get his butt kicked by Galactus? According to my Top Trump cards...lol...Galactus is 28' 9" tall, weighs 18.2 tons and can destroy planets. :-o
I know there has been the question of Superman Vs. Batman and apparently Batman won, though Superman didn't die in this battle. But i thought Superman had been killed in a comic a few years back, if that was true, who killed him?

It all depends on when the fight is and whether the character is a baddy or goody. That might sound silly, but not really if you think about it. Superman was indestructable for years and years till DC killed him off in the early 90's (it was against a guy called Doomsday and he was resurrected by his fortress of solitude or something silly), and the same could have been said for the original green Hulk. 80's and 90's comics are grim, superheroes don't always win and even previously tough-as-nails characters turned into wimps if they are a goody in this time (look at Magneto when he became a good guy and joied the X-men, he was rubbish.) But in the 1950's-1970's superheroes always kicked butt, even against indefeatable guys like Galactus. But the most powerful guy in Marvel Universe is the Beyonder, I don't know if he died, but he could obliterate someone by pointing them and reshape the universe with just a thought, so he'd kick everyone's butt. Or if you want me to get real superhero geeky (as if I hadn't already!) it would be whoever held the M'kraan crystal which holds the power of the universe and time itself!!! Jean Grey was pretty tough as the Phoenix as well, and her son Cable was supposed to be the most powerful mutant ever so son't discount either of them being dark horses in this debate.

Well, mixing heroes from the Marvel & DC universes is always tough- the major villians are always more powerful than any single hero, and DC has more ultra-powerful heroes (Superman, Captain Marvel, Wonder Woman, Martian Manhunter, Lobo, Power Girl, Green Lantern, Dr Fate, Spectre etc) than Marvel but there are a few exceptions like Dark Phoenix, Thor, Hercules, Hulk etc.

The problem is that heroes like Iron Man & the Vision are interesting, but nowhere near as powerful as the top-end people. Marvel's mutants are mostly in that same category. Quicksilver can run faster than the speed of sound, but he's a slowpoke compared to DC's speedsters.

Galactus trumps just about anyone except the Beyonder or Molecule Man.

When Superman fought Batman, that was an alternate future timeline where they were both roughly 20 years older than they are now- just grab "The Dark Knight Returns" graphic novel.

Several years ago Superman was killed by Doomsday, after Doomsday had plowed through and hospitalized the rest of the Justice League.

The "Ultimate" lineup of Marvel is a better match, most of the Ultimate heroes are way stronger than the standard Marvel versions.

It depends on the forum and field of battle.

If everybody were just locked into a giant, inescapable steel cage, I'd have to go for Hulk, Superman or whichever one is the most dangerous combination of speed, invulnerability, and strength. I think Batman's such a tactical thinker that if the heroes were all set against each other in the world outside, Batman would manipulate and angle the others into alliances that would have them destroying each other, and then, when he made his move, he'd be prepared and primed and clean up.

So, for my final vote. . .
Voldemort. For sure.

Batman because everything and every power has a weakness or strategy to defeat it. Superman kryptonite bullet. Hulk kill banner maybe or lunch him into the sun as banner sedated. The beyonder steal his powers doom did it but couldn't keep in control. One thing batman has is self discipline. Molecule man distract him break his wand snap his neck. But can't stop batman brain from out thinking you.

Robin. He is the one nobody suspects as being the greatest. Even though he is kind of gay.
