America's founders despised the concept of democracy, which is the reason for Art.4 Sec.4 ...which promises to every state in the union A Republican form of government. James Madison described democracies thought out history as short lived as they were violent in their deaths.
Could that be the goal of those that push America towards a complete democracy?

I don't. Neither did the founders of the U.S. They understood that democracy is mob rule, unlimited government power, and always degenerates into chaos followed by tyranny. Just look at the French revolution, bloody chaos, followed by the crowning of Napolean as emperor.

There is utopia of a heaven on earth. The best we can hope for is to be left allow to live our lives as we see fit and let others do the same. To accomplish this requires the Rule of Law which requires limited government power and protection of individual rights.
