its negative 334! .. as in "-334"... as in 334 below zero.
picture a thermometer... its 222 degrees above zero.... now minus 556... now its 334 below zero... for this situation, when the second number(556) is bigger, you know you will get a negative number... BUT do the math (the subtraction) with the bigger number on top, and just plop in the negative sign when your done...
if you subtract (take away) more than what something is.. you end up below zero...
