Some of the answers on here do include the true Biblical answer. However, the vast majority do not because apparently the vast majority of yahoo answers users do not believe the Bible (as evidenced by most of the responses to your question).

(1) Because the answers obtained by science are not answers which will close higher questions of cosmology or the demands of life.
(2) Because many people have converted scientific method into a personal religion.
(3) Because this is not the place for Biblical answers unless you are ready to frame them within the confines of science and mathematics.
Finally, as an example: I am interested in the demographics and types of nematodes in soils, based on pH values.-- Please give me the true Bible answer.

Science is about dealing with phenomena that can be hypothesised about, tested, evaluated and ether proved or dissproved. There needs to be an element of repeatability.
The Bible is a work of fiction - from the floods, to the parting of the ocean, there is no proof of ANYTHING other than old men with mixed agendas over hundreds of years all wildy disagree with each other about pretty much everything.
In what way should science embrace fiction ? And which one in particular are you alluding to?

Probably because the Bible is the religious history of a people [OT for Judaism, NT for early Christianity] and is not a science textbook. There is nothing inconsistent between the Bible and science.

hahahahhaha if we listened to the bible we would have to kill the majority of the people on earth!
you are so far gone my friend...
maybe because science is always the most correct thing there is? because is is constantly refined and we admit we do not know all..
maybe because there is no reason whatsoever to think that what the bible, or any of the many other religious books say is true.

Perhaps the answers given are biblical. We are the children of God and He gave us the wisdom to seek scientific knowledge.

Because most who believe in the study of science or evolution do not believe in the Bible. Therefore, it would not have mention in a scientific context or book.
