need help re manpower forecasting. was tasked to determine the no. of IT engineers that the company has to hire in order to support an x no of endusers or clients (for example, 250 end users or clients). points to consider are the ff:
- no. of end users being supported
- no. of service request received by the IT dept
- no. of available IT engineers to provide the support

would appreciate any help from you. ive been stressing about this for weeks now. thanks

It is best to know the policy of the company before making an estimate. Some companies do not allow software to be added to a machine unless it is by an administrator. This puts much more work on the administrator, because the enduser can not up date the software, only an administrator can. If the company allows the end user more rights, then the adminstrator spends less time performing software updates and more time policeing the activities of the enduser. 1 IT per 30 machines if they do everything.
