Pound notes (sterling currency) are still issued & used in Scotland & Northern Ireland. They are issued by various banks e.g The Royal Bank Of Scotland because all banks can issue their own currency there. So you get different kinds of notes. Scottish/Northern Irish notes are in fact legal tender in England & Wales as well as it is 'sterling', although you may get some funny looks or non acceptance in smaller businesses in some parts of England. Only the Bank Of England can issue currency in England & Wales & does not issue pound notes anymore, & the old English pound note is no longer legal tender. Collectors are the only place you'll find one.

From a collectors shop they deal in all sorts of currency. Also I think Scotland still use £1 notes and maybe the Isle of Man

Thousands still about, just visit any coin shop, old £1 notes are very cheap.

scotland, there used to be loads around but im pretty sure they still get used but if ya find someone from scotland they should be able to le ya kno, good luck with hunt, ebay or coin/money collectors

Any old coin or memorabelia shop around most towns will have loads of them. Shouldn't be a problem.

still legal tender in Scotland, they are produced by Royal Bank of Scotland, try going to Natwest branch and ask as they are the same bank.
