The AA says 1 hour 43 minutes, but it is very dependent on traffic conditions.

I make this trip regularly and take the A38 and A61 through Chesterfield. It consistently takes between 1 hour 30 and 1 hour 40. depending on how much traffic there is. If you use this route however, stick to speed limits as there are a few sneaky cameras and the Feds like to hang around in various guises at different times of the day and week!!!

Depends on the time of day and what you are driving. You should drive it in just under 2 hours. In rush hour it would take much much longer. You could consider going by train which takes 75 to 90 minutes and probably costs less than petrol if you are travelling alone.
