they were gd @ first, now they're boring

I hope they are. But they probably aren't for the sheer fact that the public is still watching (we now have incarnations of American Idol in TONS of countries... not to imply that America got the show first, but to illustrate a point. Also, shows that are similar to MTV's The Real World).
And it makes sense for the broadcasters to keep producing them because 1) with the public continuing to tune in, advertising dollars will continue to come in and 2) they're very cost-effective.
They're cost-effective because they don't have to pay actors or deal with AFTRA (one of the actors' unions), nor do they need writers, etc. etc. Just edit things correctly and you've got a hit. Plus, there's a never-ending supply of "talent", with people lining up for hours upon hours at casting calls for their perceived 15 minutes of fame.

Some of the reality shows are stupid and ridiculous, but I love Big Brother.

They are quite repetitive,but it seems there will always be an audience for reality TV until something really bad happens on one of these shows.

i agree with you i am also sick of them why do people insist on going on these shows when they end up showning themselves up as well as the nation what must tourist think of us do they assume that we are all the same insanely mad and stupid

They will always be popular, because people love to watch them, even if they cant stand the contestants, because, well, we just love to hate, and people cant seem to get enough of watching people they cant stand!

lets hope so, they are getting pretty boring now, i wouldn't call the people in them celebs either.
