Who is the suspect?!?

Question

A man was found dead one sunday morning. His wife immediately called the police.

The police collected these alibis...

Wife: I was sleeping.
Cook: I was cooking the breakfast.
Gardener: I was watering the plants.
Maid: I went to the post office to send mails.
Butler: I went upstairs to arrange the closet.

The police immediately brought the suscpect into jail.

Who is the suspect???

It is rather obvious.

The victim was a very rich man with plenty of business interest, so much so that he had a home office and did a lot of work over the weekends. This work generated a lot of mail, so the maids first duty of the day was to deliver the mail to a mail box in the next block (it was more secure, and faster, then leaving post in their own box to be picked up by a postman on Monday).

The cook, knowing that her employers enjoyed breakfasting together on Sundays since it was one of the few times they were actually together, was, as usual, preparing a large breakfast for them.

Te butler, unsatisfied with way the maid had arranged the closet of winter clothing (perhaps she spent to much time at the post office), had decided to re-arrange it himself, and have a stern talking to the maid.

Now, we come to the gardener. What was he doing there on a Sunday? Sunday is usually his day off. The cook, maid, and butler always work Sundays because that is time for their employers to be together and they need help in keeping their large home straight (they also do a lot of entertaining on Sundays).

No, he was angry at the man for walking on his plant the week before, so came in early that morning on his day off and using some weed killer killed his employer in a fit of madness.

So, the Gardener did it!

The cook and gardener were doing their jobs and the post office lobby is open at 6am everyday. You can send packages with the automatic system so maid was telling the truth despite all the peeps that thought she did it :)
