This happens because there is a straight comparision with their biokids.. in normal circumstances there would be hardly any one on the earth who does not like a little kid whosoever it is.. but if a woman is asked to compare between the above two then she will tend to love her own more.. This is sad but true.

In love affair a gal is normally advised to follow her "heart" but under this circumstance I would advise a gal to follow her "Brain" to treat the kids...

I'm sorry to say but YES!!! I do feel completely different about my own child than my 2 steps. Its sad but true. I didn't give birth to my step-children and the bond with my own is just that....a special bond. I do love my steps but not the same way. My husband knows this is true but won't admit that he feels stronger for his own than he does mine. It definitely shows in both of us. I would not recommend a blended family to anyone!! Its very very difficult! Thank God, after nine years of this...I think we'll make it afterall!

My 2 nd marriage was a blended family and no I would not reccomend it to anyone either . It is very hard and we ended up getting a divorce because it was a blended family . He was always trying to spank my kids like his . my kids have never been spanked in their life they have been paddled before by their dad and that ended when i told him it had better end or i would put him in jail for child abuse he knew i meant it my brother is a cop. Anyway i never think that blended families work. good luck and god bless and happy holidays.
