Sadly Sparrows die all the time, so nothing unusual there. A lot of animals eat just the eyes of other animals, something to do with the eyes containing a lot of protein or something. And of course flashlights turn themselves on all the time for various reasons, I bet you didn't actually see the flashlight "Turn on". You have no reason to be spooked, all the occurrences you mention are really just coincidences. Rest easy, don't worry, trust me.

I can see why this creeps you out! You were outside just before the sparrow died on your porch steps. Something had pecked its eyes out, and it died there. The door to the broom closet must have been open for you to see the light come on as the sparrow died. As for an omen, this could mean an unexpected death or violent occurrence, a storm perhaps. Yes...wrap yourself in light for protection, as this seems to be the message of the flashlight. Burn candles at night until whatever it is passes. Remember this, though, none of this may have anything to do with you, but to someone you don't even know but lives nearby.
Good luck to you.

Someone or something is trying to enlighten you about something But you seem to be a very stubborn person and you are not paying attention or listening to what is going on around you. So I recommend that you set up some kind of a recording device very close to you that can start recording when it hears something or that you can turn on as soon as you are awaken in the middle of the night. Which should also be a fact if you are being honest with the story you are telling us..............................

The flashlight burned out the sparrows eyes and the trauma killed it. After this the flashlight went back inside the closet and forgot to turn it self off

From the indispensable Radford's Encyclopedia of Superstitions:
"It is an omen of death, or at least, of misfortune if a sparrow flies into a house....Sparrows were sometimes thought to contain the souls of the dead, and consequently it was very unlucky to kill them."
Nothing about one dropping dead, or missing eyes, however.

Somebody might be trying to hex you. Putting the bird on you porch
deliberately. The flashlight coming on by itself shows there was definitely
spiritual power at work!
Imagine a light of protection around you, and use the power of the spoken
word to call on the Highetst Power for guidance and protection.
That will "bounce" the evil back on the person doing it. Do this everytime you feel unessy, until the trouble is gone.

Perhaps it already had no eyes, and so it only took a few secs to fall to the ground.
The broom closet? No clue...
