Drill several holes on the bark, or make several openings into the bark with a shovel; then place Round Up bush & week killer in the bark openings. The Round Up must be the concentrate (not the ready to use). Re-apply after you see signs of growth.

Drill holes in the top of the stump, fill with stump remover (which is potassium nitrate- you can buy a 1 lb pkg "stump remover" for $5 or a 50 lb bag potassium nitrate fertilizer for $20).

Availability of nitrogen is the rate-limiting factor in the breakdown of all woody materials, such as stumps, hardwood mulch, etc.
Drilling holes & filling with a high nitrogen fertilizer, such as ammonium nitrate will accelerate decomposition of the stump.
In the Amish dairy country, they back their manure wagons up to stumps in newly-cleared pastures, bury the stump underneath a pile of fresh cow/horse manure, and within a year or two, it will have rotted sufficiently that they can hitch to it with a team of horses, and out it comes. Guess if you wanted it to rot away completely, it'd take a bit longer, and maybe another application of manure.

Was told by a tree trimming company in Florida to drench around the tree roots in diluted epsom salts. let me know if this works. I have a camphor tree invasion!

being a stump, it may be best, just to dig it out completely.
