A long night for me is when my brain wont shut up.
It just keeps going on and on with nonsense, until finally exhausted it comes to some startling realisation.
Then, sleep can creep in.zzzzzzzz

I have a pretty severe case of insomnia (its 4am right now, and look what i'm doing)
I'd have to say, a long night for me is one where i actually win the battle against insomnia!... but in 30 minute intervals, waking up 2 times an hour every hour for 9 hours.
believe me.. its a horrible experience

Not anymore. Now, I don't fight it. I get up and do something. Then the night is not 'long.' Interesting question.

it means the fire alarm battery went dead and caused it to beep sending my roomates dog into a panic attack so she climbed on top of me and cried and shivered for 6 hours, even after i fixed the damn thing! (while my roomates snoozed peacefully i might add) lololololololol
