how can i change the configuration so that my IE browser will invoke another player rather than realplayer when it meet a video file?

How to fix it? If you don't even understand it, then screw RealPlayer. It's too slow anyway. Go for Winamp! It's fast, light, compact, and extremely accessible. I don't play music without Winamp.
If you want MOVIES, then use Core Media Player. It's the best for playing .ogg/.ogm files and subtitles. Plus, there's no stupid message asking for donations.
