I have been making my own laundry detergent and instead of the Fels-Naptha I have been using Sunlight bar soap. Should I be using Ivory Bar soap instead as it is better for removing stains? Thanks.

I live in Ontario, so every where I have looked doesn't carry it. So I was hoping someone knew where I could get it online cheap in Canada? Thanks for all your answers, I am looking to make my own laundry detergent, I have two small children and I know the effects of commercial Laundry detergent and softeners. Ivory bar soap is actually very good for removing stains if you use it properly. Try rubbing it on the collar of your shirts, no more ring around the collar. Try this experiment with your lint trap, remove the lint and run your water over top it the water will just sit on top. Now scrub it with soap and rinse, not try again. The soap has removed the wax build up that the softener left on your lint trap. This is the kind of residue it leaves on your clothes. I use straight vinegar and 20 drops of essential oil, this softens your clothes and they smell great!

I don't know a specific store, but I do know that in the US, it can often be found at a drugstore, or a hardware store, in the cleaning products section. Ivory soap works just as well, if you have that on hand.

You ask unrelated questions.
Where can you buy Fels-Naphta soap? It's not as popular as it used to be but occasionally you can buy it in the grocery store, but also online. I don't know what a Sunlight bar does, but Fels-Naphta soap used to be used for cleaning hard to remove grease from hands, and dirt in collars or ground in dirt on shirt cuffs years ago. Ivory soap (the bar) has always been used for babies and young children to bathe with or for people who were alergic to normal bar soap. Ivory soap is very weak so would not be good for removing stains. There are liquids on the market in your grocery store like "Shout", or Tide even has a stick that you rub on stains. Personally I've used Tide liquid laundry detergent for many many years and find it's great. You can also buy Tide with bleach in it for towels, sheets, etc....there is also a Tide you can buy for colored fabrics.
