I had a 'Yogi Bear Xmas Special' on video and I watched it over and over, I LOVED it!!!!!!
I also loved bagpuss
I'm really spoilt for choice, with all the 'back in the day' cartoons that where GREAT, unlike the cartoons of today - you just can't beat 'em, as in the words of Phil Mitchel himself "there oldies, but they're goodies"
I have to say though, that despite my original protests, after having Spongebob Squarepants FORCED on me by my kids I now love it!!!!!! (and I don't even like cartoons anymore)
But Scooby Doo is a classic and my kids love that now, as much as I did when I was a kid.

Dangermouse.
It isn't a cartoon, but old 70's/80's Sesame Street hands down beats any kids TV shows that are on these days. Jim Henson was a genius.

The younger kids who these cartoons are intended for ,think they're great. My niece thinks the cartoons we used to watch like Batfink, Scooby doo (the old ones!!) and Yogi bear etc are old fashioned with rubbish graphics !!

Just a pet theory of mine...
Every generation thinks kids' telly was better in their day.
Because you watched stuff as a kid you loved it & that memory stays with you; when you watch the new stuff as an adult it just doesn't have the same appeal anymore... remember, this stuff really is made for kids ;)

how far do we have to go back because i like ren and stimpy and rokos modern life, but not all of todays cartoons are ad what about spongebob he is the best.

i agree most of today's toons suck, but i think everything you just mentioned from the good old days except inspector gadget sucked too.... so i guess there is crap in any time, and also some good... so just keep your eyes open...

this could be because you were a kid yesteryear so you liked them then and if the same ones had been there yester year you would be saying the same thing now!
