First, an honorary doctorate carries no weight whatsoever.

Second, to get one you generally need to be rich and famous and contribute something to society or the school awarding the fake degree.

An acclaimed actor might be awarded an honorary doctorate from his alma mater. A graduation speaker who has risen to the top of his profession might also receive an honorary degree at a school he didn't attend.

A politician might get an honorary degree from his alma mater as recognition for public service.

Unless you make it big, you aren't going to get such a degree. But don't cry: the degree means nothing.

Do you mean to give you a degree you didn't earn? Or do you mean to give you a "temporary" certificate until you finish your program??? I've never heard of honary doctorates....
